West Ham have reportedly been taking a closer look at Reading centre-back Liam Moore.
According to the Mirror, the Hammers sent scouts to watch over the defender as his Reading side could only manage a 2-2 draw with Cardiff on Monday evening.
West Ham have been linked with Moore in recent times, with David Moyes understood to be an admirer of his qualities. The Hammers are short of defensive options and Moyes is stated to be keen on bolstering the ranks.
The 24-year-old is enjoying a positive season with Reading and has established himself as one of the best central defenders in the Championship. This has prompted interest from a host of Premier League clubs ahead of the January transfer window.
Moore put pen to paper on a new long-term deal with Reading only in the summer, but top flight interest is continuing to build.
Reading will be keen to keep hold of Moore, who they hold in extremely high esteem, but the allure of the Premier League could prove to be a tempting proposition for the former Leicester City man.
