West Ham face competition in signing Hatem Ben Arfa

According to the Daily Mail, West Ham and Leicester will fight to sign PSG’s Hatem Ben Arfa in January.

The former Newcastle star has been in a dispute with his current club, who are now trying to ship him off very soon, either on loan or on a free transfer.

As PSG look to thin out their squad which is currently littered with talent, The Hammer and The Foxes are looking to snap up the services of Ben Arfa, to give them a different option going into the second half of the Premier League season.

West Ham are in desperate need of new ideas, with results clearly not getting better after their 4-0 thrashing from Everton last night and they could be in even bigger trouble by January, with away matches to Manchester City, Stoke, Bournemouth and Tottenham, as well as home games against Chelsea, Arsenal and Newcastle coming up in December.

So if Ben Arfa was to join in January, he would add an extra dimension to the side, who are clearly lacking in ideas currently.
