West Ham are reportedly still holding an interest in Villarreal striker Cedric Bakambu.
According to a report from Italian news outlet Calciomercato, the Hammers are remaining keen on the forward, following their well documented pursuit of him in the summer.
Bakambu himself confirmed that West Ham were looking to sign him from La Liga outfit Villarreal prior to the season starting, but his focus was solely with his team.

However, it looks as though the Hammers aren’t giving up the ghost in their hunt to sign the DR Congo international, as he remains a target.
West Ham are currently without a manager following the dismissal of Slaven Bilic on Monday, but it looks as though David Moyes will take charge of things until the end of the season at least.
January is likely to be an important month for the Hammers, and it appears as though Bakambu is one of many players on their radar.
