West Ham linked with January move for Walcott

West Ham are reportedly joined by a plethora of Premier League clubs as they look to make a January move for Theo Walcott.

It’s been claimed by journalist Graeme Bailey, writing for The Gambling Times, that the Hammers are among a host of top flight sides keen to offer Walcott a route out of the Emirates, while offering him the chance to remain in London.

Walcott’s contract expires in around 18 months and with game time at Arsenal becoming increasingly limited, it looks as though he could be lined up for a January move.

It’s stated in the report that the England international has been given an ultimatum by Arsenal’s chiefs ahead of the window in just three months’ time – improve, or be sold.

Walcott is claimed to believe that he has the capacity to break into Wenger’s plans on a regular basis once more, but is also considering his options with the World Cup coming at the end of the season.

West Ham have plenty of wide options but Walcott would undoubtedly bolster their attacking force.

Crystal Palace, Southampton and Everton are also reportedly keen.
