Joe Hart has claimed that he is grateful to West Ham for giving him the opportunity to impress this season.
As quoted by the Evening Standard, the England international discusses the recent summer transfer window, and admitted that it was a relief that a club swooped for him on loan.
I was very grateful when West Ham gave me the opportunity, so it’s another case of getting my head down and working hard and fighting for the cause.
Hart has been exiled from Manchester City since Pep Guardiola arrived at the club, with the Spanish manager deeming Hart’s qualities on the ball as substandard.

However, after spending last season on loan with Serie A outfit Torino, he is back in England and hoping to recapture his form under Slaven Bilic’s watchful eye at West Ham.
Hart was evidently in favour of a permanent move away from City but was priced out, meaning that the Hammers were forced to land the goalkeeper only on a temporary basis.
I would have loved to have signed somewhere permanent: I want to be set, I want to have goals and be driven. But there was too much money put on my head and people weren’t willing to pay it so another loan came about.
However, off the back of a clean sheet against Swansea in the 1-0 win, he’ll hope to be of use to England in the commencing international break.
