Ghanaian goalkeeper Joseph Anang was signed by West Ham in the summer transfer window.
The promising shot-stopper caught the eye of Slaven Bilic throughout the course of pre-season, and this led to his services being secured by the Hammers.
Anang has been featuring prominently in Bilic’s first-team training. However, according to a report from African Football, the club are now looking to secure a work permit for the exciting young talent.

Without having his work permit granted, Anang is unable to play competitive matches for West Ham. Although he is unlikely to feature for the first-team any time soon, he could be set to be a key player for the Hammers’ Under-23 set-up.
The report does state, however, that Anang has been lined up as an understudy to both Joe Hart and Adrian, implying that he could be trusted with the role of being the third choice goalkeeper.
West Ham are reportedly confident that their application will be accepted, and that Anang will be able to play for the club in the near future.
