Cresswell hoping West Ham bounce back against Huddersfield

West Ham left-back Aaron Cresswell has spoken of his desire to help his side turn around their woeful early-season form.

The England international discussed the Hammers’ start to the season with talkSPORT today, and conceded that their performances simply haven’t been good enough.

We know that it is not good enough to get three defeats on the spin, but we’re the only ones who can affect that and we will work hard to put things right.

West Ham currently sit at the foot of the table. They have conceded ten goals in three games and have netted just twice. Slaven Bilic has overseen his side lose consecutive games against Manchester United, Southampton and Newcastle, which has plunged his future at the club into doubt.

Cresswell discussed the speculation surrounding Bilic’s position at West Ham, and admitted that he is hoping the team can lift the pressure on their manager.

We don’t really get involved in that. Of course we don’t want to be negative about stuff, we want to turn that around into a positive and only results and good performances do that.

That’s what we’ll be looking to do against Huddersfield and hopefully we’ll stop all this (speculation).

West Ham welcome Huddersfield Town to the London Stadium on Monday evening, as they look to repay their fans’ patience after such a torrid start to the 2017/18 campaign.

It’s a massive game for us. It’s our first home game and we really need to kick-start our season – that’s what we’ll be looking to do.

The Terriers have picked up seven points out of a possible nine and will want to inflict yet more misery on the Hammers.

Huddersfield have had a tremendous start and we want to stop that on Monday by getting three three points.
