Tottenham are ready to rival West Ham for Barcelona midfielder Andre Gomes, according to the Mirror.
The report claims that West Ham are looking at Gomes after failing to agree a deal to sign Sporting Lisbon midfielder William Carvalho, with Tottenham now joining the race.
West Ham had two offers rejected for Carvalho and eventually gave up their pursuit, with Sporting unwilling to budge on their £40m valuation.

This would have been a club-record move for The Hammers, although there is no mention of a price tag for Gomes yet.
The report claims that Barcelona are open to selling Gomes and are prepared to listen to offers, giving West Ham and Spurs the chance to swoop in.
Juventus are also showing an interest in Gomes, but the lure of regular first-team football in the Premier League with West Ham or Tottenham could persuade him.
Gomes started 17 games in La Liga last season for Barcelona and has found his chances hard to come by this season.
