Sunderland manager Simon Grayson has confirmed that a deal for Robert Snodgrass would be out of his side’s financial capabilities.
However, the Black Cats boss did admit that he would be keen to land the Scotland international from West Ham on a loan deal, if it were to be available in the coming weeks.

Snodgrass has been linked with a plethora of clubs in recent times, and Grayson is a known admirer of the former Hull man. The pair worked together at Leeds, with Snodgrass flourishing under the manager’s watchful eye.

The Hammers are looking to offload the winger this summer, just seven months after they secured his services from Hull for a fee of around £10m.
Newcastle and Aston Villa have both been linked with moves for the Scotsman, but it looks as though Sunderland are holding the strongest interest.
