West Ham enter race to sign Gladbach’s Thorgan Hazard

According to French news outlet Republicain Lorrain, West Ham are set to join Lyon, Leicester City and Stoke City in the race to sign former Chelsea youngster Thorgan Hazard from Borussia Monchengladbach.

After selling Alexandre Lacazette to Arsenal, Lyon have cash to burn and are keen on bringing the former RC Lens standout back to French football, but they will have to fend off interest from the Premier League

West Ham have been busy this window, bringing in Pablo Zabaleta and Joe Hart in from Manchester City, Marko Arnautovic from Stoke and Javier Hernandez from Bayer Leverkusen but Hazard could become the fifth addition this summer.

Eden Hazard’s younger brother Thorgan played 33 games for Gladbach last season, scoring 11 and assisting seven times in all competitions.

West Ham and Gladbach have already done business with each other this summer transfer window, with talented English youngster Reece Oxford joining the German side from West Ham on a season long loan.
