West Ham are the latest club to be linked with a move for Sporting CP star Adrien Silva.
The Portugal international has been heavily linked with a move to the Premier League this summer and according to O Jogo, as cited by Sport Witness, the Hammers are joined by Crystal Palace in entering the race to sign him.
Silva has been a loyal servant to Sporting and has been one of their most consistently impressive performers over the years. However, a move to the English top flight would undoubtedly be an attractive prospect for him, and he certainly won’t be short of potential suitors in the Premier League.
Leicester, West Brom and Tottenham have all previously been linked, and now West Ham and Crystal Palace are claimed by the Portuguese press to have expressed an interest.
Although Sporting are keen to keep hold of one of their key men, a fee of €30m is likely to secure the deal. While the Hammers are capable of spending this kind of money, it’s unlikely that they’ll break the bank again.
