HITC Sport have reported that Watford and Burnley have joined the race to sign young striker Ashley Fletcher.
The forward hasn’t had the best start to life in the Premier League with the Hammers, only managing 16 appearances last term.
Despite the somewhat underwhelming impact that Fletcher has had, the consensus is that he still boasts huge potential and could very well turn out to be a key player for the club.
He was signed from Manchester United last summer and has unfortunately fallen as one of many unsuccessful signings thus far.
If Fletcher is to be sold, a massive profit would be made on the man who only cost £1million in compensation. A suggested fee is around £6million for the Englishman.
Both Watford and Burnley will be looking to reshape their squads, and Fletcher could be a part of that for either team.
West Ham are targeting a move for a striker in the near future, and this could spell the end of Fletcher’s short time at the London Stadium.
