West Ham are reportedly ready to smash their record transfer fee in order to sign Olivier Giroud from Arsenal this summer.
According to a report from the Telegraph this evening, the Hammers’ interest in Giroud is intensifying. They are seemingly keen to land the Frenchman this summer as Slaven Bilic looks to avoid a repeat of last season.
The France international is a consistent goal scorer and has been since his arrival in the Premier League, but he has struggled for regular first-team football at the Emirates.

Last season, despite being fit and readily available at times, Arsene Wenger often preferred to utilise either Danny Welbeck or Alexis Sanchez as the striker in his systems, much to the frustration of Giroud.
West Ham’s current record buy is Andre Ayew, signed from Swansea for a fee of £20m.
Giroud is understood to be keen on staying at Arsenal but is also desperate to play on a consistent basis in the top flight.
