Huddersfield manager David Wagner has agreed to stay at the club for their Premier League campaign after West Ham had shown interest in him becoming their new manager, according to a report in The Telegraph.
The German manager was a reported target for West Ham after Slaven Bilic had an unconvincing season at the London club, but that seems to be out of the window with Wagner agreeing on a new deal which is to be officially announced by the newly promoted club soon.
Bilic led the Hammers to an 11th placed finish in the Premier League this season after only 12 wins all campaign. Some West Ham fans were calling for Bilic to be sacked midway through the season and it was at that stage where Wagner was linked with the London club.

However, despite being under immense pressure to move away from the relegation places and to produce positive results, Bilic managed to keep his job and maintain West Ham’s Premier League status for another season.
Wagner has won many plaudits this season as he led Huddersfield Town to an unlikely promotion to the top-tier of English football after a play-off final victory against Reading in a penalty shoot-out.
