West Ham’s interest in Ludogorets winger Jonathan Cafu has been well documented over the last few months, but it looks as though Brighton have jumped ahead of them in the race to sign him.
According to an exclusive report from Sport Witness this evening, the Seagulls are growing increasingly keen to add Cafu to the ranks ahead of their arrival on the Premier League scene next season.

The Hammers were claimed to have held a strong interest in the Brazilian and he looked to be a plausible target, but it now looks as though they will have to up their efforts to lure him away from Bulgaria, with Brighton seemingly in pole position to land him.
Chris Hughton’s men are reportedly in negotiations with Ludogorets over the possibility of a summer move and are looking to sign him this summer, but not for the quoted release clause price of €12m.
West Ham may need to pursue their interest further to fend off Brighton if Cafu is a genuine target.
