West Ham are preparing an audacious swoop to sign RB Leipzig striker Timo Werner this summer, according to Emanuele Giulianelli.

The young German striker enjoyed a quite simply sublime season with Leipzig, firing them to a high finish in the Bundesliga and helping them become a potent force near the top of the league.
His clinical nature and ability to get in behind helped Leipzig to become one of the most attractive teams to watch in Germany. However, this has not gone unnoticed and he is attracting interest from several clubs. Liverpool have been cited with interest in recent times.
Giulianelli interestingly states that West Ham would be prepared to cough up a huge sum of €25m, which would be a huge sign of intent from the club as they look to avoid an underwhelming campaign again.
The Hammers are in need of more attacking inspiration and pulling off the unlikely signing of Werner would almost certainly provide that.
