West Ham United boss Nuno Espírito Santo has provided a team news update ahead of the Championship clash against Swansea City on Saturday.

The top-of-the-table clash should be a cracker, with both sides going into the meeting in solid form.

West Ham are three games unbeaten and sitting in third place, while the Swans are unbeaten in four at the top of the Championship table.

Speaking at the press conference ahead of the trip to South Wales, the Portuguese coach stated:

“After a game [Lincoln], there are always things to assess, especially when there is such a quick turnaround between matches.

“We’re still assessing the players who played [on Wednesday].

“We’re going to work now, and then we’ll see about any problems we may or may not have.

Unless any further issues are reported, no injuries are expected following on from the morale-boosting success in midweek.

Tough Swansea test

The league leaders will seek to continue their strong form on Saturday.

Swansea will bring a different challenge, on the front foot, compared to the initial deep approach taken by Lincoln City, which was hard to break down in the first half.

Nuno acknowledged the task that lies ahead.

“It’s going to be very tough, because Swansea are a good team. They are doing things very well, so we are expecting a very competitive match.

“We are preparing well for the match, because we know it’s going to be tough and we have got to be ready.
