West Ham linked with Oxford United youngster

West Ham are reported to be preparing a bid of £1million for 19-year-old Oxford United midfielder Ryan Ledson.

The former Everton player signed for Oxford just last summer on a three year deal for an undisclosed fee after a successful loan spell at Cambridge United, but he is now attracting attention from the Premier League outfit.

According to West Ham World, the London side are prepared to make a payment of £750,000 upfront with a further £250,000 dependant on appearances. There’s also potential for a 5% sell on fee for the player.

The youngster has had an impressive season with Oxford, scoring one goal in 22 appearances for the League One outfit as well as securing EFL Young Player of the Month for February.

It’s believed that West Ham would look to send Ledson back to Oxford on a season-long loan deal for the 2017/18 campaign should they sign him.
