West Ham are reportedly interested in making a summer move for Real Sociedad forward Willian Jose.
According to a report from Italian news outlet Calciomercato, as cited by Inside Futbol, Jose is a target for The Hammers as they look to bolster their striking options ahead of the 2017/18 campaign.
Slaven Bilic doesn’t really have a wealth of possibilities to choose from when it comes to spearheading his side’s attack, given that Simone Zaza’s loan deal at the club was terminated in January and Andy Carroll’s fitness is somewhat unreliable.
However, he is claimed to have his sights firmly set on the Brazilian forward Jose, who has scored nine times this season in a respectable 20 appearances for the La Liga side.
The 25-year-old has had a decent season for the Spanish club, and is contracted at the Anoeta Stadium until the summer of 2021, but Juanmi’s emergence up front could give Eusebio Sancristan some thinking to do if West Ham come in with a solid offer.
