Batshuayi wants West Ham move this January

Chelsea striker Michy Batshuayi would prefer a loan move to West Ham over a reported switch to Swansea in this transfer window.

According to Bleacher Report, the Belgian, who is being linked with a potential swap deal involving Swansea’s Fernando Llorente, is well aware of the Hammers’ interest.

Batshuayi is reportedly not keen on the idea of joining the Welsh side, who sit inside the relegation zone in the Premier League.

The prospect of moving to West Ham would allow the forward to only remain in England, but London more specifically.

Slaven Bilic’s side have struggled to find form this season, with a lack of a clear scorer proving costly.

The Premier League leaders did not originally plan on loaning their summer signing out but with head coach Antonio Conte keen on bringing in a more experienced forward to provide a back-up for Diego Costa, Batshuayi’s immediate Chelsea future looks bleak.

The former Marseille man scored in the FA Cup for the Blues on Sunday, during the club’s 4-1 win over League One side Peterborough.
