West Ham tracking Ryad Boudebouz

According to Algerian media outlet Le Buteur, West Ham have joined Southampton and West Brom in the hunt to sign Montpellier attacker Ryad Boudebouz.

The report claims that The Hammers have been watching over the Algeria international’s performances out in France, with the playmaker impressing in Ligue 1.

Boudebouz has always been tipped for big things, even in his younger days with Montpellier’s fellow French outfit Sochaux.

The 26-year-old can play in either wide attacking position or just behind the striker, providing a lot of technical ability and creative attacking prowess.

West Ham could be looking to add Boudebouz in January to bolster their creative options, despite being in need of a striker, but they’ll need to stump up a sizeable fee with Montpellier not looking to sell their prized asset.

However, it sounds like Southampton are leading the race for Boudebouz, with Claude Puel looking to utilise his Ligue 1 exploits.
