West Ham take interest in Begovic

West Ham are interested in signing Chelsea goalkeeper Asmir Begovic, according to The Telegraph.

The report says that West Ham are keen to sign the goalkeeper and have put him high on their list of potential targets for the January window.

Although it also says that Chelsea are unlikely to let him leave in the winter, as to not leave them shortchanged in the goalkeeping department.

Begovic has played three EFL Cup games this season – with Chelsea being knocked out by, funnily enough, West Ham in the third match he played in.

Now it looks as though he will be spending the rest of the Premier League season sitting on the bench behind Thibaut Courtois – who has kept five clean sheets in-a-row in the league.

Adrian is West Ham’s current number one but there have been questions over his head in recent months and Begovic would be seen as an upgrade on the Spaniard.
