West Ham left-back Aaron Cresswell has been called up to the latest England squad, it has been confirmed.
Cresswell comes into the international squad at senior level for the first time ever after a string of quality performances for his club.
The defender was unfortunate to have picked up an injury in the opening months of the season but his fortunes have now changed and his efforts have been rewarded with an England call-up.

Interim manager Gareth Southgate has finally given Cresswell a well-deserved chance on the international stage, with the left-back set to feature in England’s upcoming games against Scotland and Spain in the coming week.
Whether or not he will actually start in the games is yet to be seen, but it’ll certainly be a confidence booster for Cresswell heading into the remainder of the season.
The defender will now look to cement his place in Southgate’s plans for England.
