West Ham looking to move in on Romeo

According to an emerging report from The Mirror this evening, West Ham are tracking Millwall right-back Mahlon Romeo.

The 21-year-old has been putting in some massively impressive performances in League One with Millwall this season, so it comes as no surprise to see interest building in the defender.

Romeo decided to leave Arsenal very early on in his career in order to pursue his ambition of first-team football and he’s most certainly got that at Millwall, however, with Premier League clubs looking at a possibility of moving in for him, his head may be turned.

West Ham’s scouts were in attendance for Millwall’s clash against Fleetwood on Saturday, in which Romeo’s side managed to win 2-1.

The report states that The Hammers are readying a £1.5 million bid for the Antiguan right-back in the hope that the money on offer will be enough to make Millwall let go of one of their prized assets in January.
