West Ham make loan move for Zaza

West Ham have made a loan move for Juventus forward Simone Zaza, according to Gianluca Di Marzio.

The report says that the Hammers have made a loan offer for the Italian forward, with an option to buy at the end of the season. However, the option to buy will only come into effect if he makes a certain amount of appearances throughout the season for West Ham.

Zaza played in just 19 Serie A games for Juventus last season, scoring five goals in the process. Many of those appearances also came off the bench. Zaza found game time hard due to the presence of Alvaro Morata, Mario Mandzukic and Paulo Dybala in the Juventus squad.

The 24-year-old now looks set to leave Juventus and could be the star striker West Ham have been searching for all summer.

Slaven Bilic is looking for a forward to replace Andre Ayew, who is currently nursing a four-month injury.
