West Ham target Rachid Ghezzal has been demoted to the Lyon reserves amid rumours he could be on the move.
Lyon manager Bruno Genesio confirmed that Ghezzal will be training with the reserves for the foreseeable future.
Club president Jean-Michel Aulas confirmed that they received a bid from West Ham. Other Premier League sides like Everton and Southampton have also been linked with the 24-year-old winger.
Aulas has said that they are negotiating with Ghezzal’s advisors about a new contract and that he doesn’t want to leave Lyon.
“I held his hand, and spoke with him; He wants me to talk to his advisers, and I will call them this week to break the deadlock. It would be great if we can reach an agreement, but we have received offers for him from West Ham.”
West Ham have a £7m bid on the table for the 24-year-old winger as they hope to recruit one more player before the transfer window slams shut.
