According to Sky Sports, Swansea have had a £17m bid turned down for West Ham striker target Islam Slimani.
West Ham are also keen on the forward, with some having suggested they were the ‘unknown English side’ that made a bid. However, Sky Sports are now confirming that it was Swansea, and that the bid has been rejected.

A bid of £16.7m is thought to have been lodged by an unnamed Premier League side, with Sky Sports no saying it is £17m. The forward has handed in a transfer request as a result of this, as he looks to push through a move to the Premier League.
Slimani was in prolific form last season, notching 31 goals in all competitions for Sporting. He has scored 56 in 107 games for the club to date, and is seen as one of the best finishers in Portugal.
West Ham were close to signing Slimani last summer and will go in with another move this time round after missing out on Carlos Bacca.
