According to an emerging report from Italian new source Calciomercato, West Ham have made a massive €25 million bid for Napoli star Manolo Gabbiadini.
It’s no secret that Slaven Bilic is looking to bolster his attacking options within the squad this summer ahead of what promises to be an important campaign for his side and it now looks as though Gabbiadini is the next name on his transfer hit-list.
The Napoli man is in pole position to step in for the club, however, after Gonzalo Higuain’s well documented, big money move to Serie A rivals Juventus in recent times.
Gabbiadini did not get too much first-team football in Naples last season, however. If the price is right and West Ham’s interest is concrete, the Italian international may be tempted with a move to the Premier League.
The 24-year-old is capable of playing in the attacking midfield role but is predominantly a centre forward – something that The Hammers are in desperate need of.
