West Ham join Debuchy race

West Ham have joined the race to sign Arsenal defender Mathieu Debuchy, according to Turkish Football.

The report claims that West Ham are preparing a bid for Debuchy, as Slaven Bilic looks to bolster his defensive options this summer.

With West Ham potentially having the Europa League group stages to contend with, the Hammers are going to need as much squad depth as possible.

Galatasaray have already had a loan offer accepted by Arsenal, but West Ham are now hoping to swoop in at the last-minute and broker a deal.

They will be hoping that the allure of Premier League and Europa League football will be enough for Debuchy to decline a move to Turkey and join West Ham.

Debuchy is looking to leave Arsenal, having lost his place in the side to Hector Bellerin. Arsenal are happy to let him leave, with West Ham now hoping to capitalise on that.
