According to Tutto Mercato Web, Southampton have made contact with Napoli over the signing of Manolo Gabbiadini, who has been targeted by West Ham in recent times.
The report claims that Southampton are keen on a move for the striker and have spoken to Napoli regarding his availability.
Gabbiadini is also reportedly chasing a move away from Napoli this summer as he looks to find first-team football elsewhere; potentially suiting The Hammers or the newly interested Southampton
The 24-year-old will be hoping that the exit of Gonzalo Higuain this summer hands him more of an opportunity in the striker role at Napoli, but that may not be the case as interest builds from West Ham and Saints.
Gabbiadini can play in an attacking midfield role if need be but is a more than capable forward; something that Slaven Bilic is very much in the market for this summer as he looks to bolster his striking options.
