Hammers to move in on Taylor

According to the Mirror, West Ham are prepared to move in on Leeds United left-back Charlie Taylor after missing out on a number of other targets.

West Ham were on the brink of signing Davide Santon on loan from Inter Milan, only for the deal to break down in the latter stages of completion due to a problem within his medical.

Slaven Bilic then turned his attentions to Norwich defender Martin Olsson. West Ham have already had a £3m bid turned down for the Swede, with Norwich standing firm on their £5m asking price, which has put the Hammers off.

FC Copenhagen’s Ludwig Augustinsson is another that West Ham have eyes on, but they are also struggling to agree a deal to sign the left-back.

This has left Bilic with little option but to pursue a move for Leeds defender Charlie Taylor. The young left-back has handed in a transfer request at Leeds, and is seeking to leave the club this summer.

West Ham will be hoping to tie up a deal before the first match of the Premier League season.
