West Ham and Liverpool are both interested in signing highly-rated Real Madrid teenager Martin Odegaard on a season-long loan, Squawka understands.
The La Liga giants are keen on sending the talented 17-year-old out on loan for the 2016/17 season for him to play some regular football, with both Premier League sides interested.
The Hammers are the most keen in the Norwegian as they are dealing with an injury to Manuel Lanzini and would like to bring in some cover at his position for the season, especially with a potentially bolstered campaign if West Ham qualify for the Europa League group stages.

Liverpool and Jurgen Klopp have enquired into Odegaard’s availability and have requested that Real Madrid keep them informed on any developments regarding his future.
Since signing for Madrid from boyhood club Stromgodset in January 2015 for an initial fee of £2.4m, Odegaard has made just one senior appearance for Los Blancos in 18 months, spending the majority of his time with their Castilla side.
The young attacking midfielder is regarded as one of the best talents in European football and would be an interesting addition to Slaven Bilic’s squad.
