Liverpool join West Ham in the race to sign Yacine Brahimi

Liverpool have joined West Ham and Everton in the race to sign Yacine Brahimi from Porto this summer, according to A Bola (h/t Tribal Football).

The Algerian attacker has been made available for transfer along with Vincent Aboubakar and Bruno Martins-Indi, with all three eager to continue their careers in European football and are waiting for offers.

There’s no doubt Brahimi would’ve seen the success that Riyad Mahrez has had in the Premier League with Leicester, and now another Algerian team-mate of his Sofiane Feghouli is plying his trade in England with West Ham, perhaps the Porto man would deem England a possible destination where he can flourish.

Brahimi has found the back of the net on 14 occasions in 61 appearances for the Liga NOS side and has established himself as one of the leading African footballers of his generation playing for one of the biggest names in European football.

It would be tough to lure him away from Porto considering they have Champions League football and Liverpool do not, but that has not deterred the likes of West Ham and Everton, who are in similar positions, from being linked with a move for the player.
