Diafra Sakho agrees personal terms with West Brom

According to a recent report from The Express and Star, West Ham striker Diafra Sakho is edging ever closer to a move to West Brom after agreeing personal terms with The Baggies.

Tony Pulis and his men expect the deal for Sakho to be done and dusted within the next 24 hours; seeing the Senegal international join the club in a whopping £16 million deal.

The 26-year-old is reportedly set to have his medical at West Brom at some stage today or, failing that, tomorrow.

Sakho handed in a transfer request at the start of the summer transfer window, so his likely departure will be no shock to West Ham fans.

This move will, however, probably speed up The Hammers’ well-documented striker chase, given that they have been left even shorter in the striking department following Sakho’s soon-to-be-confirmed departure.

The Senegalese forward had a good debut season for West Ham but then struggled to be as impressionable in his second season.

Although injuries brought a halt to his development and potential that he held at the club, plenty of questions are rightly raised regarding his attitude and application for what The Irons are trying to achieve.

Sakho bagged 15 Premier League goals during his tenure with the club.
