West Ham are considering a bid for German international and former Bayern Munich man, Mario Gomez.
As reported by the Evening Standard, his current club, Fiorentina are eager to offload the German due to his high wages and would be willing to part ways with him in return for £7million.

West Ham are in the market for a marquee striker and their lengthy pursuit of AC Milan’s Carlos Bacca may end in failure with the player preferring a move to Serie A with Napoli interested.
Napoli are also interested in Mauro Icardi which may leave the door open for a deal to bring Bacca to the Premier League.
As well as Gomez, the Hammers are close to completing a deal that will see Andre Ayew move from Swansea to West Ham in a deal worth potentially €24m (£20.25m).
Ayew is thought to be seen as a direct replacement for Diafra Sakho is who is close to completing a move to Tony Pulis’ West Brom for £10million, which could rise to £16million.
