West Ham have launched a €24m (£20.25m) bid to sign Swansea forward Andre Ayew this summer, according to French source L’Equipe.
It’s been well-documented that West Ham are chasing the Swansea attacker having already seen a £16m bid rejected this month but the Hammers have now returned with an increased offer of just over £20m which they believe will be enough to get the deal done.
The 26-year-old forward turned down West Ham last summer to join Swansea on a free transfer following his release from Marseille and went on to score 12 goals in his debut season in English football.

Operating primarily as a left-winger, Ayew filled in as a centre-forward and proved his was capable of scoring goals at this level, thus somewhat justifying his fee.
More of a midfielder than a striker, it’s unlikely that West Ham deem Ayew as the marquee 20-goal striker signing they’ve been looking for this summer and will again dive into the transfer market to find that striker.
Ayew played with Dimitri Payet at Marseille and formed a strong friendship and that could well be a factor in Ayew’s decision to possibly leave South Wales for East London.
