According to the Hull Daily Mail, Hull City have made a bid to sign West Ham target Christian Benteke on a season-long loan from Liverpool.
The 25-year-old was bought by Brendan Rodgers who was sacked early in the season and replaced by Jurgen Klopp who doesn’t see Benteke having a long-term future at Liverpool.
Benteke failed to live up to his £32.5m price-tag, scoring just 10 goals in 42 appearances across all competitions and he is expected to leave Anfield this summer with Liverpool hoping of recouping as much of that transfer fee as possible.

West Ham have been interested in Christian Benteke but are currently unwilling to match his £120,000-a-week wages while Crystal Palace have seen a £25m bid knocked back but remain in talks over a deal.
The Belgium international striker was a regular scorer for Aston Villa during his first three years in English football, finding the net on 49 occasions in 101 appearances for the club before joining Liverpool last summer.
Liverpool would rather the permanent sale of Benteke this summer and are holding off on giving a final decision on Hull’s loan bid. The Tigers have also made a similar offer for Manchester City’s Wilfried Bony who is in a similar situation to Benteke.
