Reported West Ham target Wissam Ben Yedder is poised to complete a move to La Liga side Sevilla for just €9m, according to L’Equipe.
The 25-year-old had been on West Ham’s radar for some time but they dithered over a deal and have now lost out to last year’s Europa League winners in the race to sign him.
The allure of Champions League football is a considerable factor, but one would imagine if West Ham had acted sooner they might’ve stood a better chance of securing Ben Yedder.

The Frenchman is considered as the replacement for Kevin Gameiro, with the France international striker having completed his move to Atletico Madrid this morning.
Spanish source Marca also confirm the transfer and credit Arsenal and Paris Saint-Germain with also being interested in Ben Yedder who is expected to complete his move to Sevilla in the coming days.
It was rumoured that the Hammers had concerns over Ben Yedder’s injury history and ability to cope with the physicality of the Premier League. Similar fears were attached to Manuel Lanzini before he joined the club last season and he flourished.
Over the last four years, only Alexandre Lacazette and Zlatan Ibrahimovic have scored more goals than Wissam Ben Yedder (70 goals) in French football.
