West Ham register squad for NK Domzale

West Ham have submitted their squad for their Europa League third qualifying round tie with NK Domzale.

The Hammers were drawn against the Slovenian side in the draw which took place on July 15th, with the first leg taking place on July 28th (this Thursday) and the second leg to be played next Thursday on August 4th.

Domzale knocked off Andorran side FC Lusitans 5-2 on aggregate in the first qualifying round – the same team the Hammers faced at the same stage of last season’s competition, with the Hammers winning 4-0 on aggregate.

The second qualifying round was tougher for Domzale. A 1-1 draw away at Belorussian side FC Shakhtyor Soligorsk was followed up with a 2-1 home triumph which saw them progress 3-2 on aggregate.

West Ham are hoping for a better performance in the third qualifying round than last year after being knocked out of the competition at this stage last season to FC Astra Giurgiu.

Slaven Bilic has submitted his squad for this two-legged tie with a number of notable absentees.

Dimitri Payet will not feature as he is yet to return from his post-Euro 2016 holiday. The Frenchman is expected to rejoin first-team training next week ahead of the new season.

Manuel Lanzini also missed out as he was due to be joining up with the Argentina side participating at the Olympics but a knee injury has forced him to pull out of the squad.

Diego Poyet is also not included, adding to speculation he could be set to leave the club this summer.

Wantaway striker Diafra Sakho has been included, while James Collins, Angelo Ogbonna and Darren Randolph are all named in the squad having returned early from their holidays as well.
