According to South London Press, Charlton are eyeing up a loan move for West Ham defender Reece Burke.
The report says that Newcastle are also interested in the defender, which could limit Charlton’s chances of signing the youngster.
West Ham are thought to be keen on Burke getting another loan next season to aid his development, preferably in the Championship. This means that a loan move to League One Charlton is unlikely.

The 19-year-old is highly thought of at the club, having won Bradford’s player of the season award last term whilst on loan from the Hammers.
He was linked with a move away from West Ham earlier in the window after contract talks stalled. Southampton and Manchester City were both thought to be interested in permanent moves for the talented central defender.
A loan move is looking like the best option for Burke for the upcoming season, with Charlton and Newcastle both in the frame for his signature.
