Ogneyi Onazi’s agent has confirmed that there is English interest in his client, amid speculation that West Ham are interested in the midfielder.
It is thought that Sunderland, Swansea, Southampton and Everton are all also interested in the midfielder, with West Ham keeping a close eye on proceedings as well.
His agent has confirmed that Besiktas are one of the foreign clubs keen on Onazi, but failed to name any of the supposed English clubs interested in his client.
Speaking to Emre Sarigul, Onazi’s agent said this:
Onazi has years of Serie A experience and is just 23 years old so interest from clubs is normal. What I can say is that Besiktas are one of the sides interested.
There are many clubs interested in the Onazi including from England.
The 23-year-old midfielder is highly sought after in Europe following his impressive displays for Lazio over the last few years. He made 22 appearances for the Italian side last season and has two years left on his current deal.
Lazio are thought to value Onazi at £7m, which is the price West Ham would have to play if they wanted the Nigerian holding midfielder.
