West Ham linked with a move for Arturo Mina

According to an recent report from ESPN FC, West Ham are one of many Premier League clubs interested in making a move for Ecuadorian international Arturo Mina.

The central defender had an excellent Copa America campaign with Ecuador, therefore it comes as no surprise to see the 25-year-old being touted with a move to one of the top European leagues.

Mina is currently playing his football in his country for Ecuadorian side Independiente del Valle and has been one of their key players in recent seasons, as shown by his performances that helped them to a historic semi-final of the Copa Libertadores.

The towering central defender is high in demand after such a good purple patch of form and is being circled by plenty of Premier League clubs.

However, if the Hammers are to move in for Mina, they will need to fend off competition from fellow Premier League sides Everton and Southampton.

Slaven Bilic will be looking to replace James Tomkins, also, as the defender sealed a move away to Crystal Palace not-so-long ago.

It’s looking as though the 25-year-old’s club are resigned to the fact that Mina will not be playing in Ecuador for much longer and is destined for big things elsewhere, putting West Ham on red alert.
