After missing the first part of West Ham’s pre-season tour of the US in Seattle this past week, Cheikhou Kouyate will join up with the rest of the squad tomorrow, according to SeneNews.
The robust central midfielder has a strong season with the Hammers, scoring five goals, helping the team finish seventh in the Premier League and earn a spot in next season’s Europa League.
His performances attracted the interest of Tottenham who made a move to sign him in January but West Ham turned them down and tied Kouyate down to a new contract which runs until the summer of 2021.

The 26-year-old joined up with the Senegal national team towards the end of May/start of June for their African Cup of Nations qualifiers away at Rwanda and Burundi helping his country win both games 2-0.
Since then, Kouyate has been handed an extended lay-off from returning to first-team duties this summer but is now refreshed and ready to return to action starting from tomorrow.
The Hammers take on the North Carolina Railhawks next week before setting off on a second pre-season tour, this time in Austria, where they play three fixtures against FC Slovacko, Rubin Kazan and Karlsruher SC.
