West Ham striker Enner Valencia has rejected a move to the Chinese Super League as he holds out hope of finalise a move to Lazio in the near future.
According to Sky Italia, via Inside Futbol, an unnamed Chinese side made a large offer for the striker, which the Hammers were prepared to accept but Valencia doesn’t want to continue his career in the far east.
It seems only a matter of time until the Ecuadorian striker completes a move away from West Ham this summer, and Lazio are the only side to have made an offer for Valencia to remain in European football.
The 26-year-old has expressed his desire to leave West Ham, via his agent, stating that he wants to play in one of Europe’s top leagues for a top club in Spain or Italy.

The Hammers are more than willing to let Valencia go, two years after his move from Mexican side Pachuca, providing they recoup as near to the £12m the spent on him.
So far Lazio are offering West Ham £2m to take Valencia on a season-long loan, which includes a mandatory purchase option next summer for £10m, bringing the total value of the deal near enough to West Ham’s liking.
However, the Hammers would much rather a permanent sale this summer and talks are still ongoing to find a compromise.
