West Ham have made a move to sign Napoli and Italy striker Manolo Gabbiadini this summer.
According to Italian journalist Nicolo Schira of Calciomercato and la Gazzetta dello Sport, the Hammers have bid €23m (£19m) plus bonuses for Gabbiadini this afternoon.

We brought news to you earlier this afternoon of West Ham’s interest in Gabbiadini, but they faced competition from the likes of Stoke and Wolfsburg for his services.
Despite playing second-fiddle to the record-breaking Gonzalo Higuain this season, Gabbiadini still managed to find the net nine times this season and record four assists in 30 appearances.

The Serie A side will sanction a sale if their €25m asking price is met in full, which is approximately £21m. However, it is believed that they would be willing to do business a little lower, at €22-23m which is roughly £19m – a club-record fee for West Ham.
West Ham’s €23m plus bonuses offer would likely come close to the €25m asking price Napoli set for the Italian international striker who appears set to leave Naples before the start of the season.
