West Ham and Everton are both keeping tabs on Jesus Gamez’s situation at Atletico Madrid this summer, according to Spanish source Fichajes.
The Hammers have suffered blows in the right-back market in the last 48 hours with Club Brugge’s Thomas Meunier and free-agent Gregory van der Wiel both snubbing West Ham in favour of moves to Paris Saint-Germain and Fenerbahce respectively.
As a result, Slaven Bilic has made an inquiry into signing Jesus Gamez from Atletico Madrid, but face competition from Everton for his signature.
Diego Simeone has made the 31-year-old Spaniard available for transfer this summer, along with Oliver Torres and Borja Baston, with the two Premier League clubs showing the most interest.

It’s believed Everton are currently in pole position to land the versatile fullback who can play at right and left-back as they are willing to offer €6m for the defender.
Gamez has spent his entire playing career in La Liga starting off with Malaga where he made 256 appearances for the club in 10 seasons before making a €2.5m switch to Atletico Madrid in the summer of 2014.
Uncapped for Spain and never having scored a professional goal, Gamez will be on his way out of the Vicente Calderon this summer and is only under contract until 2017.
