According to BBC Sport, Crystal Palace have submitted a £25 million bid for Christian Benteke.
The Liverpool striker hasn’t got along well with new manager Jurgen Klopp as he only managed to make eight appearances under the new boss. Earlier this month when asked about his future Benteke said “I’d like to stay if I remain in the coach’s plans. If not, it’ll become difficult.”
Palace, who have just recently signed Newcastle winger Andros Townsend and Marseille goalkeeper Steve Mandanda, have a huge transfer kitty this summer following large foreign investment as they prepare for what they hope to be their best season in the clubs history.

However this isn’t at all good for the Hammers, David Gold and David Sullivan are currently on the search for a top striker and after Batshuayi agreed a deal with Chelsea and Lacazette seems to have agreed terms with Juventus, the club’s focus has moved onto Benteke.
Although it is thought that the Belgian would prefer a move to West Ham due to European football and the new, iconic Olympic Stadium are West Ham prepared to pay the money required to trump Palace? Benteke would likely be a club-record signing for the Hammers.
