Huiberts: No PSG move for Janssen

AZ Alkmaar’s Director of Football, Max Huiberts, has come out and confirmed that French side Paris Saint-Germain have not made contact with the club regarding West Ham and Tottenham target Vincent Janssen.

According to Dutch source Voetbal International, talk of a move to the Ligue 1 champions for Janssen is wide of the mark, but Huibert has confirmed that they have rejected bids from Tottenham and Wolfsburg, the only clubs to have made offers for the the striker this summer.

We have rejected. There is therefore no change in the situation around Janssen. I read that Paris Saint-Germain would be interested, but we know nothing about it. PSG has not reported to us. No, they have not been informed.

West Ham are also keen on signing the 22-year-old Dutchman who scored on his international debut against England earlier in 2016. Alkmaar are understood to value Janssen in the region of £15m in order to price fellow Eredivisie sides Ajax and PSV Eindhoven out of a move.

Janssen netted 27 times for Alkmaar last season and has also been linked with Manchester United as it looks certain that he will be playing his football outside of the Netherlands next season.
