French side Olmypique Lyonnais are still in talks with Cameroonian defender Nicolas Nkoulou, who is also reportedly in talks with West Ham.
According to Get French Football, Lyon remain in talks with Nkoulou’s contract set to expire in six days time. West Ham are one of a number of clubs currently attempting to obtain the defender’s services, with Slaven Bilic’s former club Besiktas also interested.
Nkoulou has been at Marseille since 2011. Since signing he has made over 162 appearances for L’OM and gained 68 caps for his country. After being linked with a move away for the majority of last season, with teams such as Norwich City and Lazio in January. None of these moves materialised, meaning that Marseille will lose him on a Bosman transfer.
Nkoulou may favour to stay in France, but he has had concrete discussions with West Ham over a move. The Cameroonian international is taking his time to make the decision however.
