West Ham are believed to be one of four Premier League teams keeping tabs on Austrian international defender Martin Hinteregger during Euro 2016.
According to Sky Sports, Watford are also chasing the centre-back who’s impressed for the Austrian’s before their surprise early exit from Euro 2016 after finishing bottom of Group F behind the likes of Iceland and Hungary who have both progressed to the Last 16 along with Portugal.
The 23-year-old is on the books with Red Bull Salzburg but spent the second half of last season on loan with Bundesliga side Borussia Monchengladbach where he made 10 appearances but they have opted not to make his loan stay permanent.

West Ham, Sunderland, Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester United and Leicester City have all been linked with moves for the Austrian in recent times and could all be amongst the four clubs who were tracking his progress in France this month.
Hinteregger is capped 16 times at international level and would then therefore bring some top-level pedigree to West Ham’s defensive options which already feature three seasoned internationals in Angelo Ogbonna, Winston Reid and James Collins.
The Hammers’ move for Hinteregger may be contingent on the future of James Tomkins who is wanted by Stoke, Crystal Palace and Sunderland. The academy graduate is valued at £12m by the club but could be considered available for transfer should a good enough offer come in.
